Growing While Keeping Care Fair for Everyone
Last month, we marked four years since Peak Pediatric Care opened. Over that time, our small office has grown into a busy pediatric practice caring for families throughout our community.
As the practice has grown, it has become more important that our office policies are applied consistently so we can continue providing accessible, high quality care for all families.
Beginning April 6, Peak will apply our existing office policies and related fees consistently.
We are not introducing new policies or fees. Fees will only apply in situations where our office policies are not followed.
Why Consistency Matters
Missed appointments reduce availability for other families who need care. When an appointment goes unused, that time cannot be recovered.
Outstanding balances that remain unresolved require staff time that would otherwise be spent supporting patient care. When staff must spend time following up on billing issues, it takes resources away from clinical support and daily operations.
Applying our policies consistently helps ensure fairness for all families and allows our staff and providers to focus their time where it matters most, caring for children.
Policy Overview
Beginning April 6, the following existing policies will be applied consistently:
📅 Missed Appointments
Appointments canceled after the office has opened, as well as no-shows, will be subject to a $35 missed appointment fee. Missed appointments are also tracked as part of our scheduling policies.
💳 Copays
Per our contract with your insurance, we are required to collect copays at the time of service. Copays that are not paid at the time of the visit will be subject to a $10 processing fee.
🧾 Outstanding Balances
Accounts with balances that remain unpaid beyond our established timeline will have billing fees added and scheduling restrictions placed on the account until the balance is resolved.
These policies have always been part of our office guidelines and exist to keep care accessible and operations sustainable for all families we serve.

Staying True to Peak
Growth changes how a practice operates, but it does not change who we are.
Our commitment remains the same as it was when Peak first opened. We aim to be honest, respectful, and clear in how we care for families.
Clear and consistent policies help ensure we can continue operating the way our community expects while keeping care accessible and focused on what matters most.
Thank you for growing with us and for trusting Peak with your children’s care.
