Connecting with your doctor shouldn't require an all-day game of phone tag. Let us help you setup your patient portal and Spruce account so that you can start messaging the office.
What is the Patient Portal?
Our online patient portal allows you to easily communicate with our office regarding non-urgent matters without having to call.
When you log into your account, you can fill out all required paperwork, access billing information and school forms, or request a refill, referral or future non-urgent appointment. The patient portal also gives you access to lab results and documents from previous visits.
When to use the Patient Portal
The patient portal is your online home for all non-urgent requests. We make every effort to answer patient portal requests quickly, but some portal messages may not receive a response until the following business day.
Use the portal to easily:
- Complete all pre-appointment paperwork electronically
- Submit a refill request
- Request a referral
- Request a future appointment*
- View, cancel, and reschedule appointments
- Download and print school forms
- View lab results
- View past appointment details
- Read appointment handouts
- Get immunization records
- Pay any outstanding balance
* If you have an urgent medical question or need a same-day appointment, please call the office or send a secure message using Spruce.
If your child is having a medical emergency, please call 911.
Getting started with the Patient Portal
What is Spruce?
Spruce is a HIPAA-compliant secure messaging app that allows you to connect with our office and Dr. Hansen. When you register for a free account with Spruce, you’ll be able to skip the phone and get a faster response by sending a secure message any time you have a question.
Spruce allows you to send photos, get answers, and if a telemedicine appointment is needed, you can connect with Dr. Hansen right in the app (including after hours).
When to use Spruce
Think of Spruce as an alternative to calling the office so you don’t have to wait on hold when you have a medical concern or questions for the office. Just send us a secure message and get on with your day.
If you think your child needs a same-day appointment, you can message us with your concerns and a member of our team will consult with Dr. Hansen about how to proceed.
If your child is having a medical emergency, please call 911.
You can message us using Spruce at any time of day. We strive to respond to all questions during business hours. If you are messaging a medical concern after hours, please be aware that you may be redirected to call our night nursing staff.
Getting started with Spruce
Using Spruce is easy. Sign up for a free account through the Peak Pediatric Care page on Spruce. From within the app, you can send us a secure message and it will be directed to the appropriate staff member.
You will be notified when we respond, and any follow-up—including sending photos or connecting with staff for a telemedicine visit if needed—can be completed within the app.
